| Description | Lewis records Ballynagar as the seat of A. Nugent in 1837. . At the time of Griffith's Valuation it was the property of John Aylward and was valued at £10 but the estate is recorded as in Chancery. In 1894 it was the seat of John Lewis and the Lewis family continued to reside at Ballynagar until the 1920s. Ballynagar is still extand and occupied. |
