McAlpine (Sligo)
Conyngham McAlpine was the proprietor of over 700 acres in county Sligo in the 1870s. At the time of Griffith's Valuation Robert McAlpine was the lessor of lands at Doobeg, barony of Corran. . Over 740 acres of the lands at Doobeg were offered for sale in the Landed Estates Court by Conyngham Martyn McAlpine in July 1877. McTernan notes that the Doobeg property had been purchased by the McAlpines in 1835, it had previously been owned by the McDonagh family.
