Over 740 acres of the lands at Doobeg were offered for sale in the Landed Estates Court by Conyngham Martyn McAlpine in July 1877. McTernan notes that the Doobeg property had been purchased by the McAlpines in 1835, it had previously been owned by the McDonagh family. |
