| Description | Lowesgreen was the home of Richard Butler Hamilton Lowe in the 1780s. By 1814 Benjamin Bradshaw was resident here and Mrs Hannah Carey was occupying the house in the mid 19th century when it was valued at £16+ and held from Robert [Richard] B. Lowe. The Newenham sale rental of 1865 records Solomon Watson as tenant and representative of Hamilton Lowe who had been granted a lease for lives renewable for ever from John Newenham in 1753. A house is still extant at this site. |
