Bradshaw (Summerville)
Robert Bradshaw was reputed to have been granted estates in the Cullen and Cappawhite locality on the border of counties Limerick and Tipperary in the mid 17th century. The estate of Robert's descendant, William Harden Bradshaw, deceased, continued in the name of Elizabeth Bradshaw, his heiress in law, by her mother, Elizabeth Bradshaw, situated in the liberties of Callan, county Kilkenny and at Cappanagarrane, barony of Slievardagh, county Tipperary, was advertised for sale in June 1857. Various members of the Bradshaw family held land in parishes in the barony of Clanwilliam, county Tipperary at the time of Griffith's Valuation, particularly in the parish of Donohill where Benjamin, Hugh and Samuel were all land holders. Benjamin Webb Bradshaw also held land in the barony of Kilnamanagh Lower and Hugh Bradshaw in the barony of Kilnamanagh Upper. In the 1870s the list of county Tipperary landowners includes George Bradshaw of Corbally - 462 acres, Hugh Bradshaw of Kilbeg - 449 acres, Robert Bradshaw of Lismoynan - 727 acres and William Bradshaw of Monkstown, county Dublin - 732 acres.
