Lowe (Lowesgreen)
In 1702 David Lowe of Knockelly, county Tipperary, bought part of the estate of Sir John Everard, attainted, in the barony of Middlethird. Richard Butler Hamilton Lowe lived at Lowesgreen, barony of Middlethird, county Tipperary, in the late 18th century. In April 1826 ''The Limerick Chronicle'' recorded the marriage of Richard Butler Hamilton Lowe and Rosetta Frances, only daughter of the late Major General Sir Edward Butler. At the time of Griffith's Valuation, Richard B.H.Lowe held an estate in the parishes of Drangan, Kilgragh and St Patricksrock, barony of Middlethird and Ballygriffen, barony of Clanwilliam. The Lowe estate appears to have been heavily encumbered by the mid 19th century and was advertised for sale in November 1851. Richard B.H. Lowe was living at Bayview, county Waterford, at this time. In July 1853 the estate of Richard B.H. Lowe of Bayview continued in the name of his assignee C.H. Lawder, at Tullamain, about 400 acres in the barony of Middlethird, county Tipperary was advertised for sale. This property was held under a fee farm grant from Francis and John Scully to Lowe dated 1850. In March 1804 Hamilton Lowe made his will, proved 1814, in which he refers to the lands of Everardsgrange, Castle Crump etc which he leaves in trust to provide for his wife and after her death to William Latham of Ballysheehan.
