Edward S. Wilmot is recorded as holding over 650 acres in county Cork in the 1870s. His agent was William Philips of Coolay, Portarlington. He was among the principal lessors in the parish of Kinneigh, barony of East Carbery, at the time of Griffith's Valuation and also held land in the parish of St Finbarrs, Cork.
