Clerke/Clarke (West Carbery)

Various members of the Clerke/Clarke family held property around Skibbereen at the time of Griffith's Valuation. Thomas and William Clarke were among the principal lessors in the parish of Dromdaleague at the time of Griffith's Valuation while Avisa Clarke held townlands in the parish of Skull. Jane Clerke was among the principal lessors in the parish of Templetrine, barony of East Carbery, at the same time.
