Shelton (Rossmore)
The Sheltons were in the Castletown area of county Limerick from the early 18th century. In the mid 19th century the Shelton estate was in the parish of Corcomohide, barony of Connello Upper, county Limerick. In the 1870s the Reverend Grantley Shelton of Rossmore owned 633 acres and Lieutenant Colonel Jonathon Willington Shelton of Bruree House owned 760 acres in county Limerick.
