Jones (Rathlee)
The Jones family had acquired land in Tireragh in the mid 17th century and various branches established estates on the north coast of the county. In 1739 Reverend William Henry had noted "Rallee" as "lately belonged to a considerable family of the Ormsbys". Local folklore suggests that the property descended through the female line of the Jones family, a number of whom married doctors.
