Leahy
The Ordnance Survey Name Books refer to townlands in Aghadoe parish being leased by John Leahy of South Hill, from the Herbert of Muckross estate. They also note that he acted as agent for the estate of Arthur Saunders (Tipperary). The representatives of Richard Leahy, of Tralee, were the owners of almost 1000 acres in county Kerry in the 1870s as well as over 200 acres in county Cork. An offer was made by the Congested Districts Board on over 400 acres of the Leahy estate in 1913.
