Day
At the time of Griffith's Valuation William M. Day held land in the parish of Kilbennan, barony of Dunmore, county Galway. Just over 800 acres of the estate of John M. Day in county Galway was vested in the Congested Districts' Board on 31 Mar 1915. No person named Day is recorded in the Landowners of Ireland or Hussey de Burgh. However, the ''Return of Proprietors'', also published in 1876, records the representatives of William M. Day, as holders of over 2000 acres in county Galway.
