Callanan (Co Galway)
The Callanans are recorded as residing at Skecoor from at least the early 19th century. Matilda Callinan held over 300 acres in county Galway in the 1870s. In 1906 Rosa Callanan held an untenanted demesne of 394 acres. Now known as Skycur House it is still extant and well-maintained.
