| Ballynahinch Castle | Built in the 18th century for the Martin family, bought by the Law Life Assurance Society in 1852. It was in their possession at the time of Griffith's Valuation and valued at £35. Ballynahinch was sold to the Berridge family in 1872. In 1926 it was bought from the Berridges by the Indian prince and cricketeer Ranjitsinhji and continued in his ownership until his death in 1933. | Garroman Lodge | Built by Dean Mahon of Westport in 1833 [James Mahon of the Castlegar family, Dean of Dromore] and its situation is described by Robert Graham in his journal of September 1836. At the time of Griffith's Valuation it was leased by Patrick Larkin from the Law Life Assurance Society and valued at £1. The Berridge family later used it as a shooting lodge. The house no longer exists. | |
