Description | Milfort House appears to be best known by this spelling though it is labelled on all Ordnance Survey maps as "Milford House". Family sources note that it was the residence of Cornelius Morley who married Susanna Penrose Malcomson. It was part of a complex designed by the well-known architect John Skipton Mullvaney. Milfort was demolished in the mid-twentieth century but some estate architecture survives. |
