Bennett by Charles Frederick Anderson see http://www.dia.ie/works/view/256 The house is named on the first Ordnance Survey map as Gleneefy but on the later 25-inch map as Glenefy. In 1837 Castlecreagh was the residence of G. Bennett and at the time of Griffith's Valuation Castlecreagh, valued at £26 was held by George L. Bennett in fee. In 1906 occupied by William H.M. Bennett and still valued at £26. It is still extant. |
