Description | The Ordnance Survey Name Books record the building of Ashroe House in 1770 for £850. The residence of the Evans family in the late 18th and 19th century, held from Sir Matthew Barrington at the time of Griffith's Valuation, when it was valued at £23+. Wilson mentions it as the seat of Mr. Evans in 1786. The National Inventory of Architectural Heritage suggests modifications were made to the house during the nineteenth century. It is still extant and well-maintained. |
