Whiteway | In the 1870s Christopher Vallance Whiteway of Kinsale, county Cork, owned 1,117 acres in that county. He was a relative of Sir William Vallance Whiteway (born 1828), a prominent politican and premier of Newfoundland, Canada in the second half of the 19th century.
