He was the son of Richard Studdert of Mount Rivers, parish of Killard and Frances Massy. In the 1870s Major Richard Massy Studdert of Fort House, Kilrush, owned 2,572 acres in county Clare. Weir writes that he moved to Belfast a few years later. |
