Name Description
O'Reilly (Heath House) Family papers, including a history of Myles John O'Reilly's estates in counties Sligo and Roscommon and a rental, were presented to Trinity College, Dublin, in 1954 by Colonel Beresford Mundey, a grandson of Myles George O'Reilly 'The O'Reilly'. The O'Reillys resided at Heath House, county Laois from the 18th century and intermarried with the Knox family of Moyne, county Mayo and with the Beresford family, Lord Decies. Lands in counties Roscommon and Sligo belonging to "The O'Reilly"'s estate were offered for sale in the Landed Estates Court in November 1873. The sale notice indicates that some of the lands in Sligo were held under a 1680 lease from Nicholas, Earl of Carlingford. In the 1830s the O'Donnell family of Greyfield were agents for the O'Reillys in the Boyle area.
O'Donnell (Boyle) Robert O'Donnell was the owner of over 700 acres in county Roscommon in the 1870s. His estate was based at Greyfield, barony of Boyle where he leased a house from the O'Reilly estate. The OS Name Books indicate that O'Donnell was the agent for the O'Reilly estate in the area.
