| Kelly (Dunkellin) | 164 acres at Cottage, owned by Sarah Helena Kelly, wife of Edmond Walter Kelly, were offered for sale in the Landed Estates court in June 1883. The Irish Times reported on a brisk discussion which took place during the sale. The Judge was about to declare the bidder of over £3000 the purchaser when the owner's solicitor sought an adjournment on the grounds that the bid was insufficient. The purchase on this lot was eventually complete but the sale of the second lot was adjourned. |
