Name Description
Ogilvie In 1852 William Ogilvie bought the Ironpool estate of the Jennings family in the parish of Kilconla, barony of Dunmore, county Galway and resold it in 1864 when it amounted to 814 acres. Melvin writes that Ogilvie was a grazier from Hawick on the Scottish border, who bought parts of the estates of the Jennings and Blakes of Castlegrove.
Jennings (Ironpool) Richard Jenings of Ironpool, parish of Kilconla, barony of Dunmore, county Galway, held an estate of over 1,100 acres, which he advertised for sale in March 1852. Most of the estate was bought by William Ogilvie, who advertised it for sale again in January 1864. In the 1870s George Jennings of Ironpool owned 1,183 acres in county Galway.
