Harlow/Harloe
The Harloe family had an estate at Rathmullen, barony of Corran, in the 17th and 18th centuries. The estate may have been leased from the Taaffe (Earl of Carlingford) estate. John Harlow of Rathmullen died in 1757, "possessed of a large fortune". Mary Harloe, only daughter of John Harloe, married William Phibbs of Rockbrook and had 21 children. Various branches of the Phibbs family are descended from this family.
