Donnellan
Edmund Donnellan owned property in and around Kinvarra at the time of Griffith's Valuation. A Nicholas Donnellan was resident at Jockey-Hall, near Gort, in 1814. Edward J.B. Donnellan is recorded as holding over 800 acres in county Galway in the 1870s. There may be a connection between this family and the Donnellan family who held the estate of Hillswood in the barony of Kilconnell.
