Logan
Lieutenant Colonel Abraham Logan of the Barracks, Kinsale, county Cork, owned 1118 acres in county Mayo valued at £77 in the mid 1870s. He was the son of Captain Patrick Logan (1791-1830) of the 57th Regiment of Foot and commander of the Moreton Bay penal colony, Queensland, Australia from 1825 to 1830. His mother was Letitia Anne O'Beirne of Sligo. The Misses Logan sold 1,127 acres to the Congested Districts' Board on 22 Jan 1914. http://www.adb.online.anu.edu.au/biogs/A020110b.htm
