O'Dell/Odell (Kilcleagh)
Thomas Scruton Odell bought Castledaly, Moate, County Westmeath, in the late 1860s. He was the son of Thomas Alexander Odell and was born in 1829. In 1864 he married Madeline Roe of Coolfinn, Queen’s County (Laois) and died in 1869. In the mid-1870s Mrs Odell of Kilcleagh owned 554 acres in County Westmeath. Her son Major Thomas Smyth Odelll married Henrietta Urquhart of Strawberryhill, King’s County (Offaly) in 1895. Thomas Urquhart, born 1898, was their child.
