Nugent (Greenville)

In 1863, the Thorntons sold their house at Greenville near Ardlougher, county Cavan. It was bought by George Nugent. In 1870, at St Stephen's Church, Dublin, George Nugent, fourth son of the Reverend Edmond Nugent of Charleville, county Dublin, married Elizabeth, youngest daughter of Thomas Ravenscroft Whitty of Ricketstown House, county Carlow, http://www.limerickcity.ie/media/Owen,%20Unthank.pdf In 1876, George Nugent of Greenville is recorded as the owner of 400 acres in the county.
