Howard (Earls of Wicklow)
The Earls of Wicklow held lands in Donegal through their descent from the Forward family of Castleforward, barony of Raphoe North. In the 1870s, the ''Owners' of one acre and upwards'' survey indicated the Donegal estate amounted to over 6000 acres. Hussey de Burgh, in 1878, however, puts the acreage at over 4000 acres. This estate was principally in the parishes of Allsaints and Raymoghy in the barony of Raphoe North. In 1875 the Earl of Wicklow offered over 3000 acres of his Donegal estate in the barony of Raphoe for sale in the Landed Estates Court.
