Starkey [Starkie]
In 1878 Hussey de Burgh recorded William Starkie, Resident Magistrate, as the owner of over 600 acres in county Cork. Members of this family were leasing extensively from the larger estates in the parish of Ross, Barony of East Carbery, at the time of Griffith's Valuation.
