Young (Leemount)
In the 1870s, Henry Lindsay Young, whose address is given as Leemount, Cork, was the owner of over 5500 in county Cork and 2300 in county Waterford. Henry Lindsay Young married Margaret Thornhill daughter of William B. Swan of Cork on 19 August 1848 (Faulkiner's Journal 25 August 1848). Henry Lindsay Young was living at Leemount in the 1860s and appears to have acquired his estates in the Landed Estates' Court. James S. Donnelly indicates that Henry L. Young's estate was in the Mitchelstown area of county Cork and that he gave a reduction in his rents in the early 1880s following mediation from the Mitchelstown Land League.
