Digby (Erris)
In 1876 the Honourable Edward Henry Digby of Geashill, Tullamore, county Offaly, owned a sporting estate of 6835 acres in the parish of Kilcommon, barony of Erris, county Mayo, valued at £162. The Digbys held the fishing rights on the Glenamoy River for many years. The estate was bought by the Congested Districts' Board in December 1898.
