Boate
Referring to 1775, Sadleir notes George Boate of Duckspool, as among of the Waterford gentry at the time. In October 1852, Christopher Hume Lawder, assignee of George Boate, offered over 450 acres for sale in the Encumbered Estates Court. This included lands held under fee-farm grant from members of the Gallway, Greene and Power families. The Freeman's Journal reported that the purchasers included Sir John .N Humble and R. Baker as well as Samuel Dudgeon in trust. Thomas Arthur Boate offered almost 100 acres of his estate at Abbeyside and Tournore, Dungarvan for sale in the Encumbered Estates court in April 1858.
