Massy (Grantstown)

Like the Glenwilliam branch of the family the Massys of Grantstown descend from Reverend William Massy who died in 1822. His grandson Henry William Massy (1816-1895) of Grantstown Hall and Rosanna, county Tipperary held land in the parish of Kilfeakle, barony of Clanwilliam at the time of Griffith's Valuation. His estate at Donaskeigh, Grantstown and Killoge was advertised for sale in 1866. It was bought by Charles W. Massy. In the 1870s the Massys of Grantstown owned 707 acres in county Tipperary.
