In the 1870s Thomas William Anderson of Grace Dieu Lodge, county Waterford, owned 836 acres in county Cork, 600 acres in county Waterford and 1,704 acres in county Kilkenny. Walford indicates that T.W. Anderson's mother was Margaret Carew of the Ballinamona family.
