Green (Youghal)
A merchant family of Youghal, county Cork, who acquired an estate in the 19th century. Thomas Murdock Green held land in the parishes of Killeagh and Youghal, barony of Imokilly, at the time of Griffith's Valuation and was residing at Aghadoe House. Thomas M. Green died in 1864 and was buried in Killeagh cemetery. His eldest son, Captain James Matthew Green, married Margaret Bowles in 1862. In the 1870s Murdock Green of Youghal owned 1,153 acres, the Reverend William Spotswood Green of Youghal owned 572 acres and Mrs T. M. Green of Dublin owned 117 acres in county Cork.
