Martin (Tullagreen)
The Martins held an estate at Tullagreen, parish of Carrigtohill, county Cork, in the 19th century. Other Martins were also living in the locality at Killahora. In the mid 19th century Hughes Martin held four townlands in the parish of Carrigtohill, barony of Barrymore, from William Coppinger and Joseph Martin held land in the parish of Kilquane. In the 1870s the estate amounted to 1,033 acres held by Robert Martin of Tullagreen. At the same time Joseph, James and John Martin of Killahora held about 800 acres between them. Robert John Martin of Tullaghreine died in 1879. In 1888 his eldest son Hughes Martin (of Tullaghreine in 1910) married Margaret Letitia Burroughes of Gloucestershire and they had two daughters.
