Nash (Kanturk & Mallow)
This family were established at Kanturk, county Cork, by the late 17th century. In 1725 John Nash married, as his second wife, Eliza, daughter and co heiress of Jonas Barry of Cork and had three sons, John of Ballymagooly, Thomas of Rockfield, Kanturk and Michael of Carrigoon, Mallow. The lands of Rockfield were advertised for sale in June 1858. They were held on a lease dated 25 March 1805 from John Nash of Ballymagooly to his brother, Thomas Nash. Lands at Ballynoe and Clash, barony of Duhallow, the estate of Thomas Nash and others were advertised for sale in April 1859.
