McFadden
In the 1870s the representatives of James McFadden owned over 1100 acres in county Sligo. At the time of Griffith's Valuation he is recorded as the lessor of several townlands in the parish of Kilmactranny, barony of Tirerrill. His trustees offered for sale lands at Bohee, barony of Mohill, county Leitrim, in November 1870. Lands in the baronies of Tirerrill, county Sligo and Dromahaire, county Leitrim were offered for sale in the Landed Estates Court in July and November 1872. Over 600 acres owned by the McFadden estate in the barony of Moydow, County Longford, was offered for sale in July 1869. The estate also held lands in county Cavan. In the mid-19th century James McFadden held townlands in the parishes of Ballintemple, Annagh and Castleterra, county Cavan. In 1876, the representatives of William McFadden of Butlers Bridge owned 386 acres, Mrs Anne McFadden of Tullamore 183 acres and John McFadden of Cootehill 73 acres in county Cavan. The deed in Cavan Library refers to James M’Fadden as a solicitor of Stephen’s Green, Dublin.

McFadden to produce original indenture or fee farm grant dated 12 July 1796 made between Sir John Coghill and John Baker and lease dated 11 July 1796 and deed of 15 October 1798 in order to defend the Lang's estate being the lands of Crahard, Ballyneary, Aghnaguig (Aughnaging) and Hackelty, county Cavan.
