Synan
At the time of Griffith's Valuation John and Edward Synan held land in the parishes of Iveruss, barony of Kenry and Fedamore, Corcomohide, barony of Connello Upper and Kilteely, barony of Smallcounty, county Limerick. The land in the parish of Kilteely was held from Viscount Ashbrook. In the 1870s Edward J. Synan of Ashbourne, Limerick owned 2,792 acres in the county and John Synan of Limerick owned a further 525 acres.
