Greene (Greenmount)

Captain Thomas Greene was granted land in counties Kerry, Limerick and Clare in 1668. The Greenes owned land in the parish of Croom, county Limerick, at the time of the first Ordnance Survey. Francis John Greene held land in the parishes of Athlacca and Croom, barony of Coshma, at the time of Griffith's Valuation. Francis Greene of Greenmount, Patrick's Well, county Limerick owned 1,606 acres in county Limerick in the 1870s.
