Jones (Knockaculleen)
Elizabeth Jones was one of the principal lessors in the parish of Kilmacshalgan at the time of Griffith's Valuation. In 1875 almost 600 acres of the Knockaculleen estate were offered for sale in the Landed Estates Court on behalf of twelve members of the Jones family who were then minors, by their guardian Harriett Elizabeth Jones. The Irish Times reported that this property was purchased by Messers. Tiernen and Petrie for over £17,000.
