Gordon
The Gordons were among the leading Scottish gentry families, eventually acquiring the title Marquis of Huntly. Louisa or Catherine Leslie, of the Tarbert family, married Douglas Gordon, Lord Hallyburton, 4th son of the earl of Aboyne, in 1807, thus allowing this family to acquire lands in county Kerry.
