Jones (Fermanagh)
The Jones family of Lisgoole, county Fermanagh, held a significant estate in county Leitrim, mainly in the barony of Carrigallen. In June 1854 Michael Jones, formerly of Lisgoole, county Fermanagh, but then residing at Cregg House, county Sligo, offered for sale his lands, known as the Drumbibe estate, close to Ballinamore in county Leitrim. In the 1870s the representatives of Michael Jones still owned almost 2000 acres in county Leitrim as well as lands in Fermanagh.
