Mills
Members of the Mills family of county Roscommon attended Trinity College, Dublin in the 18th century. Captain Mills was governor of Roscommon Jail in the 1790s and lived in a 3 storied thatched house at Fairymount. Edward Mills was resident at Fairymount, parish of Kilgefin, barony of Ballintober South, county Roscommon, in the early 19th century. Fairymount was in the possession of Anne Lyster by the time of Griffith's Valuation.
