Connell
Francis J. Connell was one of the principal lessors in the parishes of Ballymacward and Kilconnell, county Galway, at the time of Griffith's Valuation. One source records Francis J. Connell as the proprietor of 1,802 acres in the county. By the mid 1870s James Connell of Loughrea who owned 82 acres appears to be the only Connell landowner in the county.
