Madden (Kiltormer)
In November 1677 Fergus Madden was granted over 1,700 acres in the baronies of Leitrim and Longford, county Galway and John Madden received a further 448 acres in the barony of Longford. The history of the various branches of the Madden family has been documented by Gerard Madden in his work "History of the O'Maddens of Hy-Many" in 2004.
