Description |
In 1837 Lewis referred to White Hill in the civil parish of Inver, County Donegal, as the residence of Reverend Montgomery. The house is labelled Inver on the First edition Ordnance Survey map. At the time of Griffiths Valuation, in the 1860s, this house was occupied and held in freehold by Reverend Henry Carré. It was valued at £18. The National Inventory of Architectural Heritage suggests the present house was built c.1810 but may have incorporated elements of a seventeenth century house. This house was known as Inver Rectory for many years and is still extant. |
