Description | The house faced Bracklagh Lough, very close to the border between counties Cavan and Longford. It is marked on the first edition six inch Ordnance Survey map (publ. 1837). In the mid-19th century it was inhabited by Captain Mark Ker and held from the Ecclesiastical Commissioners. The rateable valuation was £15. Home of Matthew William Webb and family in 1901. A building is still extant on this site. |
