Ballyconnell House was held in fee by Wybrant Olpherts at the time of Griffith’s Valuation, when it was valued at £45. It was reputedly built by the Olpherts family in the 18th century. In 1837 Lewis noted it as the seat of Rev. J. Olphert. In 1906 it was the property of Sir John Olphert and valued at almost £46. Ballyconnell is still extant. It served as a school during the 20th century. Local sources suggest it was later purchased by Udaras na Gaeltachta.
