He may be referring to this house whch he says was "daily improving in beauty and commands a very extensive prospect". Home of James Fox in the 1830s. Occupied by John Commins at the time of Griffith's Valuation, leasing from the de Clifford estate. The house was valued at £8 at that time. It is still extant. |
